1. Who We Are

Zen Wellness is a personal AI wellness coaching app developed by Abdi Karim. If you have any questions about this privacy policy, you can contact us at abdikreal28@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:

• Account information: Email address and display name when you register or sign in.
• Wellness data: Mood logs, energy and stress levels, emotion tags, journal notes, sleep logs, and workout history that you voluntarily enter in the app.
• App usage data: Feature usage counts (AI messages, plan generations) stored locally on your device to enforce free-tier limits.
• AI conversations: Messages you send to the AI Coach "Zen" are sent to the Groq AI API to generate responses. Conversation history is stored locally on your device only.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide personalized wellness recommendations, workout plans, sleep tips, and AI coaching.
• To save your wellness history so you can track your progress over time.
• To manage your account and subscription status.
• To improve app features and user experience.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Zen Wellness uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Database) – Used to securely store your account and wellness data. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Groq AI API – Used to power the AI Coach "Zen". Your messages are sent to Groq's servers to generate responses. Groq Privacy Policy

5. Data Storage and Security

• Your account and wellness data is stored securely in Google Firebase, which uses industry-standard encryption.
• Chat history and usage counts are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and are not uploaded to any server.
• We use secure HTTPS connections for all data transmitted between the app and our services.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at abdikreal28@gmail.com. Local device data (chat history, usage counters) can be cleared by uninstalling the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Zen Wellness is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data via the app's Settings screen.
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Export your wellness data by contacting us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
